She had her well-check on July 17 and here are her stats:
Height: 31 in. 95th percentile
Weight: 24 lbs. 90th percentile
Can't remember her head measurements, but chances are its pretty big too.
As Dr. Lewer was showing me her growth charts and percentages he asked, "now how tall is your husband?" I told him 6'3" and he just nodded like "yup, Jenna will be tall". Please bless not 6'3" though! Save that for the boys! He also said this to me, "Ya know, shes no longer a baby. She can be considered a small child now." I could've cried then and there! But the more I look at her, the more I watch all that she does, I must concede. She is no longer a baby. BUT, she sure as heck is still MY baby and will be until another one comes along.
We left for Portland to attend Johnny's nephew's wedding on the night of Jenna's birthday, so we celebrated the Sunday before, July 8th, with my family and Johnny's parents at our house. Jenna loved the balloons, could care less about the presents, and was mildly interested in her cupcake. I think birthdays at this point are more for everyone else. And we had fun! Especially Lucy who, by default opened all of Jenna's gifts.
Here's what Jenna can do:
- Waves hello and goodbye
- Eats everything (just because she can, doesn't mean she does though)
- Especially loves MEAT, fruits, and green beans (another green bean lover, yes!)
- Can get herself standing up without anything around
- As of 7/15 is WALKING- still not exclusively, but she has taken up to 15 steps at once. Go Jenns!
- Loves her sister, but also hates when Lucy takes anything from her (already??)
- Loves bathtime, but throws a FIT when we lay her down to rinse.
- HATES getting her diaper changed and screams until we're done (remember, I said SASSY)
- Hisses when we ask her what a snake says
- Points to her nose on comand
- Prefers daddy during the day, mommy at night (woof)
- LOVES climbing up and down stairs, shes getting pretty good and making me less worried
- Not really interested in books (le weep)
- Loves baby dolls and real babies. She oohs and aahs and goes a little crazy around cousin Bennett.
- Opened mouth kisses, and if you're lucky, a little tongue.
- Finds it hilarious when someone burps.
- Loves animals (Lucy was always scared)
- Loves to go to the park and SWING. She'd stay there all day.
- Survived her first long road trip to Portland. And did pretty well!
- Barely makes it through sacrament meeting and has to crawl (and walk) everywhere during Sunday school. Or she gets ticked.(What?! SIX more months until nursery?!!!!)
- Almost always wakes up happy and chills up in her crib for a good 10 minutes before she wants out.
- Loves music and is always dancing. Always.
- Loveable
- Huggable
- Kissable
- PERFECT (in my humble and biased opinion)

You are Johnny's wife? That's awesome! I doubt he remembers me. And your kids are adorable!
