Today...

It is noon. And today I have:

 -Bathed two girls

-Lotioned and dressed them

-fed them breakfast, when Jenna got fussy Lucy led us in a round of "if you're happy and you know it"

 -Put together 3 puzzles

 -Read library books

-Crawled behind Jenna while Lucy crawled behind me (Jenna loves this)

-Laid on the floor sick while Doctor Lucy took care of me and found a cheetah in my mouth

-Practiced ballet moves via one of the library books. PliƩ, grand jete, etc. (Lucy was in heaven)

-put Jenna down for a nap

-Painted Lucy's and my toenails. Matching.

-Had a tea party with lucy eating goldfish and fruit snacks (Lucy kept asking for more and more fruit snacks.)

-laid on the floor with Lucy for like ten minutes snuggling her and telling her over and over, "sorry, no more fruit snacks."

-Mowed the back lawn while Jenna slept and Lucy watched Word World.

-sprayed some weeds with Roundup.

-fed Lucy lunch (she requested to sit in the high chair. Weird.)

-Vacuumed the family room, and toy room.

-thought about how Jenna is still sleeping and this is going to throw off nap schedules for today.

Today I have NOT:

-gotten dressed

-showered

-brushed my teeth (or hair)

 I love my life.

Flashback Friday

You get twice the fun this week!
Me, Erika, Sherstine- Ok we LOVED these california raisins shirts! And How did Sherstine get those legs? Not fair. Also, I remember LOVING that fan. I think this is on a Redwood vacation.

Easter sometime around 1991ish? We three girls always got matching dresses with gloves and usually a purse. Sometimes hats. But the most wonderful thing about this picture is the bangs. Oh the bangs.

She's 9 months.

Our sweet Jenna Lily has turned 9 months old this month. We still love her to pieces and can't get enough of her spunky personality. She is so much fun.

22lbs 3 oz- 95%
29.5 in long- 95%
Can't remember the head measurement, but shes half Spjute; you do the math.
I am loving how much Lucy still loves her sister.

We really are smitten with this little girl. She's proven to be quite stubborn and isn't crawling yet. That is not crawling forward. She goes backwards, rolls around and scoots on her bum to get where she wants to go. Who doesn't want a child that marches to the beat of their own drum? I don't really thing she'll ever crawl, shes standing more and more and she isn't frustrated with not crawling so there really isn't a huge motivator for her. I'm OK with it.
She has two chompers on the bottom and will eat most anything you give her. She waves, shakes her head no, says dada, and blows when I tell her to ssssss like a snake. She dances to music and rocks herself in the rocking chair. She mimics a lot and will smack her lips if you do it. It never fails, if Lucy walks by, Jenna lights up.
She is ADDICTED to her daddy. Lucy was as well, but not to this extent. When he walks through the door, he better be walking towards her or else! She whines, YELLS, and cries and twists her feet and wrists like crazy until he picks her up.(she is always twisting those chubby little wrists!) She has to sit by him at dinner, if he's playing with Lucy, she has to join them. Even on Saturday or Sunday if he walks in the room and doesn't pick her up, she gets furious. If only she would put such energy into crawling!

We love our Jenns, who much to my own annoyance I have gotten into the habit of calling J-Lo. Barf.

Easter

I love Easter. Hunting eggs and eating a delicious meal and remembering the resurrection of the Savior. What a combo! We had a wonderful weekend. Johnny's brother and fam came into town on Wednesday. Johnny took Thursday off and we spent all day with them at Johnny's parent's house. So fun. They have one boy and three girls. They have one girl, Ruby, 6 months older than Lucy, those two had a ball together! I will lay out the rest of our weekend through pictures.
Coloring eggs Friday night at my parent's house with all the cousins.

Lucy really liked coloring eggs this year.

Lucy can't get enough of her new cousin Bennett (Sherstine's). He's one week old in this pic.

Annual easter egg hunt at grandma-greats (my grandma Spjute) Grandma is the best, and we had a great time despite the wind!

Lucy and Emmy with their loot.

Double-checking that they found everything.

Daddy and Jenns keeping warm inside. My mother-in-law made that sweater. So adorable!

Over to the Waites for another hunt. With cousin Ruby.

Found one!

Grandpa with the hunters.

Jenna and Ginny. Poor grandma can hardly keep these names straight!

All the kids (minus Jenna) after opening and Easter gift from grandma and grandpa Waite.

Easter Sunday at my parents for dinner. Just ignore the giant glare over my head!

FAVORITE!

2nd place. Haha.

Jenna's first Easter.

Pretty girl.

Sisters. They really do love each other, I hope it lasts forever!
All the Scott Spjute grandchildren.
