Holiday Wrap-Up in Photos, LOTS of them

At our ward Christmas party. Lucy didn't love Santa as much as we thought she would.
The next 15 photos are from Christmas #2 (Christmas 1 was when Nates fam was in town around thanksgiving) which was actually a week before Christmas, when Margo (Johnny's sis) and her kids + Dallin (Johnny's other sis's son) were here to celebrate. What a blast!
Lucy LOVED Margo's girls, and I don't think they minded her either.

Que Bueno: a must at any Waite gathering.

The three-headed dog. Johnny's mom made this years ago. Thats Margo in there.

Getting ready for a  Christmas feast

Mmm. We had cheese soup and croissant sandwiches, and much more deliciousness!

Before gifts we acted out the nativity. Lucy took her role as Mary VERY seriously.

Lucy's pooh blocks from the Waites, she loves them!

Margo got an iPad!

It was so fun to have them here and to be able to celebrate with them!

The Monday before Christmas we had our annual decorate cookies-Santa Lucia-eat soup-night at my parents house. It was more low-key than usual because my dad had just gotten out of the hospital! Time for the story:
2 weeks before Christmas my dad, brother, mom, and Heidi, were out to my in-laws house finishing splitting wood and loading it into Jake's truck. They had previously taken down one of the Waite's old trees and were finishing up the job. My dad was rolling a HUGE log over to the truck when he suddenly collapsed from a horrible pain in his head. He never lost consciousness, but he was in excruciating pain. Mom took him to the ER, where they got his pain under control and started doing tests to see what was going on. Later that night (and after dad being admitted to the ICU) we found out that he had some bleeding in his head. Yikes! horrible news! (Let me insert that all this day I was at the Waites trying to enjoy spending time with them, all the while I am freaking out inside, and a little outside, about my dad). Come to find out the bleeding was a good kind (as far as that goes) and he was told he would have a headache for a couple weeks, but he should fully recover. That was a Saturday and he came home from the hospital Monday morning. Long story short he was in and out of the hospital that whole week before Christmas, because he was in horrible pain (and he has a high pain tolerance), dealing with a rude doctor who prescribed him the wrong medicine, and also enjoy dehydration and virtually no sleep. I hated seeing him have to go through that. It was the worst! Anyway, after an awful week he still ended up home for Christmas eve and all the festivities, but I don't think he felt too good.

Decorating cookies, dad trying to put on a brave face.

Christmas Eve!
Grandpa in his wheel chair.

We needed an extra wise man, and got a BIG one.

Sad little angel.

For our talent, we did "Elf Yourself" with my dad and all his siblings (that were there). It was pretty funny. Somehow I didn't get a picture of us with the faces on.

Jenna after a HOT snooze.

Back at grandma and grandpas after opening Christmas jammies.

I made our jammies this year! Jenna's little romper is my favorite.

Christmas morning, and a nice hair-do!

Lucy was really worried about Grandpa during the whole ordeal, but was happy to have him home.

Hilarious. Emmy got princess shoes for Christmas and the girls were clickety-clacking all over the place in those.

Ready for church.

Me and Professor Quirrell?

Lots of cousin time. And these two are best buds.

No snow, and nice enough to play outside.

The.best.present. My parents got each family one of these awesome wagons! We are already loving it

We spent New Year's Eve at the Price's. Lucy & Ben.

Jenna & Analise, right before Jenna pulled her hair. Sorry Anna!

WHew! That post took forever. The holidays were wonderful, and as usual I'm sad to see them go. But I'm excited for a new year. Last year brought me a beautiful new daughter and I'm excited to see what this year will bring! Maybe a new car?

Sorry if there's spelling or other errors in this. I'm not going back to proof-read.

Stay tuned for Jenna's 6 month update.

I loved all those pictures. Seeing you with all your family over the holidays reminds me of how our family used to be. Sigh.
