All In a Days Work.. or FUN!

Saturday was a really busy day for me and Johnny. We went to my grandmas 83rd birthday party at the care center where she lives.
Dad was rolling around in that wheelchair all day.
We had to make something for our ward picnic that was right after grandmas party. So we made these fun pumpkin cupcakes. I think they turned out really cute.
And then we (well Erika and I) helped Heidi get off to the Homecoming dance. Doesn't she look smashing?(Does that dress look familiar Jess?) Also I went to dinner with the women in my family and then watched the Relief Society Broadcast. What a day!

Women's Fitness Celebration!!

So, I stole all these pictures from my sisters blog because my camera pooped out that day
Me and my sister Erika and Heidi ran the 5k run yesterday with about 16,000 other women. And it was POURING RAIN THE WHOLE TIME!
Once we got to the end it was really cold. They had all sorts of booths set up in the park with free: juice, yogurt, granola, bagels, chapstick and lots of other free stuff. It was lots of fun.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

A couple weeks ago we were crossing the friendship bridge over the Boise River on our way home from Art in the Park. This is what we saw. It's true. This is totally a bride in her wedding dress getting her picture taken while standing in the river!
I hope she didn't pay very much for that.

Labor day done the RIGHT way

Monday the Spjute clan headed up to Pine Top to enjoy the holiday.

We played volleyball.
Went on a hike and found a snake.
Hung out with cousins.
Went swimming (nice outfit dad).

Ofcoarse we hiked to the alter and took some awesome pictures. I have pictures of me sitting on the alter when I was like 4 years old.

The mountain you see behind Johnny used to be totally covered with trees and greenery.
3 years ago this weekend we were evacuated from pinetop because of fire. It is so sad that all the trees burnt down.
This is a picture of us when we found the snake. I was running down the hill and Heidi said that I almost stepped right on it. Sick!

This video is called "Washing Machine". We have done this in pools as long as I can remember. I, however no longer get "washed" , I have become part of the machine. It was so fun to get away and spend the day with family. Later that night my cousin Chelsea got engaged! Yippee!

Friends Gathering

Last week we had a gathering with our friends at the parentals. Good times were had by all. This is Frankie and "baby uncle Jake". He's so cute!
Here's Nate, Karis, baby Tristen, and Michael and his 2 week old Benjamin.
Chris, still always trying to cuddle with Johnny.
Here's little Perry Jr.
We had a lot of fun. It was just like old times except everyone is married with kids!

On to his mission...in glory

My brother Jake entered the MTC yestderday (le weep!). I can't believe that he's gone. I cried my eyes out when I said goodbye to him, but he was smiling because I sent with him 3 packages of beef jerky. See ya in two years Jake!
