Cutest Niece

This is my niece Livia. Well, this was her about 2 years ago. She's almost 3 and is getting so big! This wouldn't be a problem except that she lives in Kentucky so we only get to see them in the summer and at Christmas. Except this Christmas, they couldn't come because my sister was 8 months pregnant with her second baby Gavin. So, I haven't seen Liv in almost a year! She is so stinkin' funny and WAY smart! She was counting to 20 before she turned 2. I'm excited because my sister and her family are coming this summer for about 6 weeks. We're going to have a blast! I miss you Liv, see you soon!

How I Spend My Days

This is Ella that I nanny and her new brother Sam. They are so much fun, and Ella is a good big sister.

Ella has the funniest little personality. She LOVES Johnny. One day I caught her playing with my phone and acting like she was talking to him. She's so funny. She says "hi Johnny" a couple times and then she says "good morning Johnny. good morning." I was laughing pretty hard.

"Don't Cry For Me ARGENTINA!!!"

Jake was on Institute choir tour last week and while he was gone his mission call came! I can't believe my little bro is going on a mission.
He got home early Sunday morning (1:00 am) and everyone was over to watch him open it.
He was pretty excited to find out he's going to Neuquen, Argentina! He leaves August 20th, so we have the whole summer to play before he goes.
We were sad that Sherstine and Wayne couldn't be there, but they were on the phone with us (3:00 am their time!)

I know that Jake will be an awesome missionary and he will touch many people's lives. I'm really excited for him, but I am going to miss him tons!

Rod Stewart!

Last weekend during the Priesthood session of conference, me, Erika, mom, aunt Deanna, and Chelsea went downtown to get Pitas from the Pita Pit (SO GOOD!) and to look in shops and wish we had enough money to spend $70 on a t-shirt. While we were down there we ran into this champ across from Edwards standing next to a ginormous white limo. Of coarse we had to get a picture. The best part was that after the picture he said, "What is this? Fantasy Island?" We aren't sure if he meant his fantasy or ours, but I can tell you one thing, no fantasy of mine involves a man in a white suit that reeks of cigarette smoke, has hair like a peacock and rotting teeth! Fun pic though...

The Week At A Glance

Last Saturday we went to Grandma Spjute's for the annual Easter egg hunt and to celebrate Uncle Dave's birthday. It was good times as it usual. Sunday morning at 7:00a.m. Johnny and I sang in an Easter Program with the Institute at the Temple. It was wonderful, but freezing because it was outside!
Monday was my mom's birthday. Johnny and I made her this cake. It's not quite as fabulous as last year's four-layered, but I think it turned out cute.Mom got an ipod for her birthday! She was so excited. I think everyone in our family has one. Oops, except Sherstine. (hee, hee.)
Tuesday for date night we went to the park to try out Johnny's new kite that I got him for Easter. As you can tell, it is HUGE. We didn't have much luck getting her to fly. We'll try another day when there is more wind. So, we went for a bike ride on the Green Belt instead.
Wednesday we flew to Denver to visit Johnny's sister Margo(next to Johnny) and her family. It was a lot of fun. We got them addicted to Settlers of Catan, as we are known to do. While we were there we went to the Museum of Art & Science, went swimming at the Rec Center (which had an awesome slide), and went to the Denver Temple. We had a blast. Thanks Margo!
This is their cute dog Lucy who totally attached herself to me. Johnny would try to call her over and she'd just run right to me. It was pretty funny.
While we were there,we put together an entire 1,000 piece puzzle with their family. You'd think we just sat around and worked on it for 4 days, but we really didn't. We're just that good.
This morning before Margo took us to the airport, we did a little shopping. She took us to a cute little store called Lucy. I would compare it to Boise's See Jane Run store downtown. They have cute and comfy running clothes, and everyday stuff too.
This is the cute shirt I got there. I love it! And I love that my toes are in this picture! It was a long week, but we sure had fun! Johnny is back to school on Monday...
